After seven months of a difficult pregnancy, Laura turner was looking anxiously into the ultrasound picture when she was reassured to see not just her baby sucking his thumb - but an image of what she supposedly think is Jesus watching over her unborn.

Some Space weapon myths

James Oberg talks about some space weaponization myths, sounds like some star wars, isn't it? I'm not really against space weaponization but I guess it's unlikely that such stuff might occur unless we are talking about the cold war, otherwise it's just a wishful thinking. Just like the non-proliferation treaty, a space weapon theory would merely stall the end result.

Largest amphibian species

This is one monster the size of a crocodile. This is the Chinese giant salamander (Andrias Davidianus), largest amphibian species on earth, reaching a length of 180 cm (6 feet) easily in the wild. Unfortunately, it is also one of the critically endangered species today.

World's largest monkey

The male mandrill (Mandrillus sphinx), sometimes referred to as the man-ape of equatorial west Africa has an average head & body length of 61-76 cm (24-30 inches) & a tail length of 5.2-7.6 cm (2-3 inches). Mature males has an average weight of 25 kg with some specimens weighing up to 54 kg & measuring 50.8 cm (20 inches) to the shoulder. The mandrill is one of the most colorful primates and has often been depicted in some popular cartoons and arts.
