Largest Aviary in history

In 1904, it was the largest aviary ever built and is one of the world's largest free-flight aviaries. The 228 feet (69m) long, 84 feet (26m) wide, and 50 feet (15m) high cage was first constructed for the St. Louis World's Fair. This aviary prompted the establishment of a zoo in 1910.
